This is awesome. I am just floored. Now I can see a Petra concert any time I want to. Woo-hoo!

So someone who was there tell me, did the band win the crowd over, or was it just the old people cheering?

Hey, at about the 1:24:30 mark the sound quality just tanked. Is that just me, or is it an imperfection in the recording?

Thanks for the link to the Pulse Festival Mexcian Spud its the closest thing I will be to a concert .

Petra was awesome. I listened to the sermon and ministry in the begining than fast forwarded the stream to when Petra started. It was so cool to see young kids as well as the older people in the audience sing the words to the songs.

Man o man I also was floored when I heard the older songs being played in the new style. Man I wanted a copy for myself. Man I hope they will do a cd of the older songs done with the extra guitar parts. It is finished was so awesome. Man do they compensate for the lack of keyboards.

I especially like the fact that Petra lets you know they are not rock stars and that Jesus is whats important, they play the way they do because of Jesus and that Jesus in in control of they're time on stage very cool Praise God .

I wanted to hear Creed done but thats ok. I will say this...The live version of the songs I have on cd sounds so much better. Its my personal opinion.
The sound setup for the concert I felt was right on.

recording pulse festival

Post by amospmr » Tue Sep 28, 2004 8:03 pm

there is a program called RM Recorder that will intercept real media streams and record them onto your hard drive. it costs US$30 for the full version and the demo only records 2 mins worth of video. but if you wanted to record the festival onto your hard drive this would be your best bet
hope this info helps. Also the same people have a program called WM Recorder that works on windows media player streamed video too. they both record video & audio to your hard drive

cheers

Is this site still working? I haven't been able to access the concert footage yesterday or today.

My personal advice would be to troll around on SourceForge and see what software is available. Some of the open-source material will work on Windows (i.e., Windows installers are provided).

The program I use to record audio streams (video is a bit different, but works roughly the same way) is vsound. If you Google it, you'll find their web page, but I'm pretty sure there's no Windows version available.

I managed to get a little bit of it on my PC. It's a lot to try and get on dial-up. I have a program that works well, but it no longer exists. Probably because of the highly illegal nature of being able to download protected audio and video

I am downloading it at the moment it is 372 MB not bad for 8 hours of video.
Also found a progam that will rip RM to mpeg/wmv etc.

Great concert wish Petra would come to Australia.

Is anyone going to make cd or dvd copies of this show? I'd love to have such a thing, and I'd pay dearly to get it.

Help me out, people.
