I just wanted to publicly thank our wonderful Father God for His care and His faithfulness. You see, I've been working in a contracting/consulting position assigned to a company in Indy for the past 2+ years. Last month we were told some of the positons in my department might be eliminated. Two weeks ago, the company I worked for and the other contracting firm were asked to bid for the contract for the rest of the year. Yesterday, I learned that my company did not get the bid and that my job would end Thursday, September 30th. Through this entire process, I have been at total peace, keeping my focus on my relationship with Him, and refusing to panic or worry. This is totally opposite of my past experiences with unemployment or near-unemployment. Today, I received 2 job offers, and after some prayer, I have accepted one of the offers and will work in Columbus, IN.
Praise God!

Wow, I'm so glad that you posted that! That's an inspiration for me! I know what you mean when you say that in the past you used to fret when unemployment hit. Honestly, if you really think about it, to panic or to worry isn't going to make any difference anyways, just gets you worked up and more upset than you already are. But - we think we haveta fret, to make us "feel good", like we've done something, hehe.
Being in full time ministry, I know how it can get when you see money getting tight and you wanna fret. I'm also learning to trust God, because my DAD in heaven will take care of my needs. We've experienced quite a bit of stretching in our faith on this tour we are on from Denver-Sturgis to now in Rockford, IL. It's been freaky at times, but - how can ya minister to anyone if you don't go through it yourself and experience God's hand in your life?!!
So you keep trusting the Lord, cos He already provided for you and answered you quickly. How awesome that you got another job. Let us know how you like it.

Thinking if I could see I would believe, then somebody said Believe and you will see.
