Kirk, BTTR is only available for download at the moment. The CD isn't available until mid-December according to the Classic Petra blog today. :-)

It probably will not be either. It is hard to get into Walmart. They want to buy CDs for under $1. each and then do not want to pay in a timely fashion. Screw Walmart. They are a crappy company on many levels.

Walmart doesn't sell much Christian music. Mardels, Lifeway and Family Bookstores might be a place to find the disc. Statistically, few of the demographic the band is trying to hit shop for music at any of these stores for music. Seeing how there is little to no Petra in any of these stores in the KC area, and the last of it was blown out in the bargain bin (where I bought it again, just 'cause), it will be interesting to see how this plays out here.

I downloaded mine on Saturday and burned my own CD from that and used my LightScribe drive to make a nice, professional looking etch on my CD. Once the CD itself is available, I'll buy one of those, too, to support the guys.

They used to, we have 3 Walmarts here in Bakersfield and they used to be full of Christian Music. But now there isn't any at all. The Last ones they would cary were Gaither Vocal Band stuff.

Where did you read that? I saw they gave that time frame for the DVD, but never saw anything like that about the CD.

I saw nothing like this on the blog. Plus they said they would have CDs at the Show at TBN

You're right, Preacherman. I'm sorry about that. I guess the CD will still be released some time next week.

Greg X Volz posted on facebook that "the rest of the world will get the notice on Tuesday". I'm not sure if he meant yesterday.

That meant yesterday was the official release of the didgital downloads. The early release was for the hard core fans.

According to the blog, it won't be available on CD until JANUARY 10th. It'll also be on iTunes around that time. Not in time for the holiday season, apparently. Looks like the only way to get a CD right now is to do what I did and burn one.

Here's the quote:

Admin Says:

November 17th, 2010 at 2:37 pm
The cd will be available to order online on Jan 10
It will be in stores and on Itunes at roughly the same time.

I didn't see that on the Classic Petra blog, the last post is from the 16th and just says that they moved the advance release to a larger server.

Nevermind, he said it in a reply to one of the comments. That needs to be a main post.

This is the info they posted on facebook.
The hard copy of the cd will be available to order online next Wednesday. It will be in stores Jan 10, and on Itunes as well at roughly the same time.
I hope it means that they also have the CD available to be shipped shortly after next Wednesday. They probably need to sort out some business things before they can start selling the CD in stores or on iTunes. So I'm sort of guessing that they'll start with sending out the CDs themselves way before Jan. 10th.

Maybe BTTR will get BTTR placement in retail space than Pancake BTTR or "I Can't Believe its Not BTTR." It BTTR. If it doesn't, I will try not to hold a grudge and have BTTRness in my heart about it.
