Petra mp3s (the lawful)

Post by rexreed » Sun May 22, 2011 12:37 am

Star Song and Inpop Petra albums have been added to the emusic catalog. I think that pretty much completes it for Petra now. BTTR is $6.99 to Download, On fire is $5.19 and CITAS is $7.50. No reason NOT to have legit copies of the albums in the U.S. region. Anyone with a crafty prose- the new additions have no reviews! They even have the spanish albums up now. arriba! They also added some Whitecross- the Star Song albums sans In the Kingdom.

Does CITAS have "The Great I Am"? I custom-ripped CITAS from tape, because the CD didn't have that track. I wish they would have cut something else ("Hollow Eyes" gets my vote) and put "The Great I Am" on the CD.

It does not have "The Great I Am." As for Hollow Eyes, think back about the famine in Africa back then- it was all over TV, magazines, newspapers. A pretty big deal so I can see why it was included.

I understand why "Hollow Eyes" was an important song (tie it in with Live Aid, "We Are the World", etc.)...it's just that it is my absolute LEAST favorite Petra song, while "The Great I Am" is excellent, and deserves to be heard.

Different strokes and all that, right? After what I've found recently about the extended tracks on the video version of CITAS, I may go see if I can score a copy.

Just make sure you buy the CITAS DVD at petramerchandise.com then. Some sellers out there want to make it look like it's never been released on DVD or if the DVD is extremely rare. Probably about 8-10 years ago I bought the CITAS VHS. At that time it used to go for well over $100. Since the DVD got released the prices for the VHS dropped significantly (how surprising!). Now you can pick up a CITAS VHS for $5-10 if you are lucky. I bought a second copy in better condition for just $7.

The DVD/VHS is worth your money, if only for the extended version of Without Him We Can Do Nothing.
