There's something to be said for letting go of stuff and moving on, and I would guess the band members probably have.
And Enosh, dude, ya know I love ya, and I do get what you're saying. I love Louie and he was definitely an instrumental part of Petra's history. He was also a part of Petra when they were at their peak and when their most popular material was released. Paul and Greg weren't, and they hung in there with the band too, and they're both pretty dang good musicians. I'm glad I got the chance to see them with the Farewell lineup. All of the various band members have contributed something to Petra over the years, and it's pointless to debate whether they were "real" band members or just replacements or not. As has been pointed out by several people, everything has its season.
That being said, I've had my own issues I've had to learn to let go of. I still feel like slapping that Informer character (for those of you who have been around long enough to remember) who made the posts about Louie leaving before the band was ready to announce it, and if I could figure out a way to do so without being arrested for assault I probably would.

Oh well. Somebody likely would have found out about it and said something eventually. It is next to impossible with the Internet to prevent people from finding out about stuff. People may have reacted the same way no matter who made the announcement, but the lack of consideration in announcing it before the band was ready was uncalled for, and so were all the demands for insider info on what was going on between the band members.
