Re: Where can I get BTTR on CD?
This makes me wonder whether they'll actually have real CDs at the TBN show, or if it will just be CD-Rs. If it's just CD-Rs, I'm saving my money for the real thing.

Re: Where can I get BTTR on CD?
I will be waiting for the pressed CD, I want the original cover art done by a press. if they were selling the CD burnt them self as long as the tracks were CDDA originally not the MP3's they have for download the sound will be exactly the same as a pressed CD, being digital and all. The only time this quality may be a problem is if the CD player has problems reading the burnt CD (cannot distinguish a 0 or a 1)

Re: Where can I get BTTR on CD?
I wouldn't start assuming they are going to be selling a CD-R. Odds are the distribution deal is what's holding it up for stores and such til January. It reminds me of what's going on with Stryper right now though. Their new CD is done, but they are holding off on releasing it until after the new year, because apparently there is a certain time you need to get something released by in order to get the best sales through the holiday season and they missed it, so now they are just waiting until after the new year. I don't know if that factors in for Petra here or not, but I know it's the reason Stryper is using.

Maybe Stryper's cd is delayed because they recorded satanic music. It reminds me of what's going on with Stryper right now though. Re: Where can I get BTTR on CD?
On the classic Petra blog it says that the autographed copies would be sold at the TBN taping. I'm sure they wouldn't autograph computer printed cover, CD-r recorded copies. I'm pretty sure its the packaged version coming out Wed. Distribution is an entirely different thing. If a label picks it up they will manufacture new copies with their logo and distribute it to Lifeway and the other available retail outlets.

Are they still under contract with Sony for distribution?

Last time I was in WalMart, I noticed that they hadn't totally gotten rid of the Christian Music, but rather it was mixed in with the regular music.

Wal-mart = Church of Satan.... I can't prove that, but I worked for them for 10 years and I've got a gut feeling..... Most major retail stores have stopped carrying christian music. It's a conspiracy!!

CD's are being phased out anyway. Downloads are the thing now. Makes me sad. I'm old. I remember records. My first Petra disc was a record.

The Wal-Mart of my city still sells Christian CD's but they are from local artists...
Interesting, here in Puerto Rico, many people are saying that too...jeremywg wrote:

The market is slowing down for them but I don't think they ever really be phased out. We will always be able to get a hard copy of music, movies, and other forms of entertainment.blayze5150 wrote:CD's are being phased out anyway. Downloads are the thing now. Makes me sad. I'm old. Re: Where can I get BTTR on CD?
It's been a couple of yrs since I've been in a Walmart. We shop Target and Kroger for just about everything except for meats, fruits, and clothes. I also buy all my music mostly directly through the artist on their web sites.SCJ-7 wrote:The Wal-Mart of my city still sells Christian CD's but they are from local artists...
